Kiwanis Fishing Derby
The 2010 Kiwanis Fishing Derby will be held on Wednesday,
June 16 at Lake Mohave. This long standing summer tradition
is open to youth aged 5-12 years old in the Tri-State area.
Each participant is provided with fishing gear, a life jacket
drinks and a lunch.
Held annually in conjunction with the Boys & Girls Clubs of the
Colorado River, the Kiwanis Fishing Derby has provided over
2000 area youth, many of which have never fished before, a
fun filled experience where sportsmanship is stressed more
than catching the biggest fish.
Participants will be assigned to a boat operated by experienced
adult volunteers who will guide them around the lake as they
seek out the many fishing hot spots located on Lake Mohave.
Local businesses and individuals interested in supporting this
outstanding event for tri-state area kids, can do so by buying
advertising spots on our official Derby T-Shirt. Each child and volunteer will receive a t-shirt featuring all of our sponsors on the back.
